9/11 Day's ongoing mission is to transform the anniversary of 9/11 into a worldwide day of unity and doing good, and to encourage millions of people to remember and pay tribute each 9/11 through good deeds that help others and rekindle the extraordinary spirit of togetherness and compassion that arose in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 tragedy.
Adam J. Lewis Academy is defined and guided by its motto, Hope Rising. Through a program of rigorous academics, rich experiential and creative learning, and deep family engagement, AJLA nurtures the potential within each child – preparing students for a lifetime of intellectual exploration, personal growth, and moral citizenship. Children graduate from the Academy as leaders, empowered with the knowledge, skills, character, and confidence to succeed.
Rick’s Place compassionately supports grieving children, teens and their families through facilitated peer activities, school-based programs and community outreach. Rick’s Place vision is for grieving youngsters and their families to be able to find comfort, develop resilience and grow stronger together within a caring and compassionate community.
Voices Center for Resilience (VOICES) is a non-profit organization that assists communities in preparing for and recovering from traumatic events and provides long-term support and resources that promote mental health care and wellness for victims’ families, responders and survivors.
